HISTORY: Since Fall 2009, the team has been coached by Andre Russo, USSF ’C’ license holder with extensive experience coaching girls’ teams. Andre is the Director of Travel for Stoddert U15-18 and coaches Super Y with Nike Rush. Andre was Arlington county player of the year, a first team Washington Post All Met, first team all region, former standout player at George Washington University and semi-professional player with the Fairfax Spartans/Washington Stars.
From 2009-2009, the Edge was coached by Kate Samsot, DC Stoddert Travel Director, USSF ’A’ license coach, Virginia ODP coach and former varsity player at the University of North Carolina.

TRYOUTS: The Edge seeks high impact, skilled, hardworking and experienced field players and goal keepers for the Fall 2011 season and beyond. Tryouts June 6 and 8, and throughout the summer. For more information and to arrange a tryout, contact Manager Tom Matecki or Coach Russo.
TOURNAMENTS: The Edge typically plays at least one pre- and one post-season highly competitive tournament.
