DC Stoddert Summer Soccer Program with Tech Director Sona Walla
Age group: Players from U-9 thru U-16
Dates: * June 22 –26, 2008
Location: Jellef Boys and Girls Club, 3265 S street, NW, Wash. DC
Schedule: 9:15AM to 4:00PM (late pickup arrangement possible)
Train and interact with DC Stoddert travel players and coaches through the Summer Soccer Program directed by the Boys’ Travel Soccer Technical Director, Sona Walla. (Read about his three DC United U17 alums). The program is designed to provide “Open league players” high level training by top coaches and also the opportunity to mix and compete with travel players in a fun and relaxed environment. It is a great way to accelerate your technical skills development during the summer. We are sure your child will benefit from the fun and high quality program we have put together.
Our summer program varies in approach from regular season team training because it provides us the environment to focus strongly on technical skills and the flexibility to place your child in dynamic small- sided game situations with players of varying talent level from different Stoddert teams. This unique program challenges your child to adapt and create quickly within different game situations, a key skill all young players must acquire.
Required equipment: Water, Tennis shoes, soccer shoes, ball, shin guards, Swimsuit & towel
Lunch: Each player must bring his own lunch
Daily activities: Technical skills – Lunch- Swimming/gameroom – Games/Tournaments
Cost: $295 per session per player. (Scholarships available)

Georgetown International Soccer
A favorite of international boys and girls, 6-16, since 1974, Georgetown International Soccer offers full-day (9 am - 4 pm) and half-day (9 am - noon) weekly sessions as well as opportunities to play soccer overseas.
Camps are held at St. Bartholomew School, 6900 River Road, Bethesda, MD

Georgetown Stoddert Soccer Camp @ Jelleff Boys & Girls Club
Two sessions: July 13-17 and July 27-31
Half-day (9 to noon) camp for Boys 9 - 15. Meet and train with DC Stoddert and outside coaches, who will provide guidance with player development. Program is designed to give players specific training on technical areas of the game, including: shooting, finishing the play, getting the ball in the net, dribbling, decision-making on the field, and more. Campers should bring tennis shoes, soccer cleats, shin guards, a light snack and a soccer ball!
National Soccer Hall of Fame player Len Oliver will hold a team-training event during the camp. Len Oliver played pro in the U.S., was with the US Olympic team (1963-64), has the USSF ’A’ License, and made the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 1996.
Coach Aron Gyorgy is former D1 college player. He started coaching in the New York City area while attending NCAA D1 St. Peter’s College in New Jersey. Aron has been in the DC area coaching with Stoddert for 5 years, currently with the U16 and U19 age groups.
Girls’ Academy Summer Training Camp

A full-day, 9 am - 4 pm camp for DC Stoddert Soccer travel and motivated recreational players between the ages of 8 and 14 who wish to improve their levels of play.
Coaches Karen Kelser, DC Stoddert’s Technical Director, and Khaled Hamami are National USSF certified and/or Coerver Coaching Staff, highly experienced and respected in the field. The wonderful young counselors are current DC Stoddert travel players, most of whom have been through the Academy, who are enthusiastic, positive, and great role models.
Maret School Summer Soccer Camps
Mohan Telfer, Boys’ Varsity Head Coach and DC Stoddert Travel Coach of the Year 2008, is offering six week-long soccer camps for a variety of age groups and skill levels. The goal of the camps is to enhance individual skills, team play and to have fun! Individualized instruction will cover, but is not limited to, shooting, dribbling, receiving, heading, and passing the ball. Another distinctive feature of the camps will be small-sided games and match analysis sessions. Campers may participate in a half-day program from 9:00-12:00 or a full-day program, from 9:00-3:00. Campers who are participating for a full day should bring a bag lunch. All campers should wear proper shoes; bring a soccer ball, sunscreen, and a water bottle.
June 15-19: Boys Premier Camp* (Ages 9+) 9-3pm
June 22-26: Girls Premier Camp* (Ages 9+) 9-3pm
*Premier Camps are designed for current and potential travel players, and will include match analysis in the afternoon sessions.July 6-10: Developmental Soccer Camp for Recreational Players

Developmental Camps include dozens of fun soccer games, which will provide numerous touches of the ball for the developing player.July 27-31: Boys High School Camp (Ages 14+) 9-3pm
Includes fitness training to prepare players for the rigors of High School Soccer tryouts.
Coach Mohan Telfer, DC Stoddert Girls Age Group Director 13-14, holds a USSF “C” license and is a candidate for the USSF “B” license. Telfer has been a Travel Soccer coach for almost 10 years. With DC Stoddert, he has over 5 years of experience working with boys and girls teams between U-9 and U-17. He spent 3 years with the Darryl Gee Soccer Academy where he excelled in introducing the game to young players between the ages of 3 and 5. His resume also includes 2 years with DC Parks & Recreation Summer Soccer programs. He trains numerous teams in the Stoddert Recreational League as well and enjoys the challenge of working with varying age groups and skill levels.

Sign up for all day, morning-only or afternoon-only programs of fundamental soccer instruction in a positive environment at competitive rates.
Programs at Visitation offer campers the convenience to enjoy two sports in one day.
