Recreational Program Manager

Job Overview

The Recreational Program Manager is a full-time position responsible for organizing and managing DC Stoddert Soccer’s Recreational Program. The Recreational Program runs a Fall and Spring league of approximately 6,000 players, ages 4-18, as well as a smaller winter futsal program.  This staff member with work most closely with the Club Registrar and Communications Manager and will report to the Technical Director.


Job Duties


  • Work closely with volunteer Age Group Commissioners to organize age group divisions, communicate rules, and provide support during weekend games.
  • Organize, support, and provide education for volunteer coaches.
  • In conjunction with the Technical Director, provide developmentally appropriate curriculum for coaches.
  • Organize, prepare, and maintain fields and equipment for games and practices.
  • Organize and distribute uniforms.
  • Work with the Head of Referees to ensure quality referee coverage.
  • Engage in outreach to community and schools to engage new partners, families, and players.
  • Help the Executive Director identify and pursue partnerships that will support increased reach of the program, financial support, and/or access to fields.


Additional duties may be assigned by the Technical Director or Executive Director. The ideal candidate is someone with strong organizational skills, is proficient in Excel, Word, and database management, is comfortable leading groups, understands soccer, and is creative and ambitious, This position requires availability on weekends. Salary commensurate with experience.

Throughout the year, DC Stoddert Soccer seeks energetic and hard-working interns to join its team. The individuals selected will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of projects that cover various elements of the club in the areas of Programs, Development, Communications, and Operations.
